Books

The New Natural Cat, by Anitra Frazier with Norma Eckroate
An EXCELLENT book, covering everything from communicating with your animal to nutrition to behaviors and even medical information! A must have for ANY cat owner!!!
Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats, by Dr. Richard H. Pitcairn, DVM, and Susan Hubble Pitcairn
More fabulous information on health and nutrition.
Shadow Cats: Tales from New York City's Animal Underground, by Janet Jensen
Only 27 pages into the book, and I recognize some of the places, even the people named. This is truly a great account of the feral cat world in New York City. Read this if you want to know what the life of a rescuer is like. If you rescue cats already, you will feel like you are talking to a friend; if you do not, you will soon see why people do it.
Cats for Dummies, by Gina Spadafori and Paul D. Pion, DVM, DAVCIM
Another excellent book, especially for anyone just starting with cats, or looking to start.
Cat Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook, by Delbert G. Carlson, DVM, and James M. Giffin, MD
This book is good for some basic first aid, and gives information on ailments. I personally find that it is a more conventional and allopathic approach, rather than holistic; but it gives information on things like pregnant cats and what to expect (got me through my first pregnant mom!), emergency situations, infectious diseases, parasites, etc.
The Nature of Animal Healing: The Definitive Holistic Medicine Guide to Caring for Your Dog and Cat, by Martin Goldstein, DVM
This book was recommended to me from multiple sources. I just ordered it, so I will update when I have more information!
Homeopathic Care for Cats and Dogs: Small Doses for Small Animals, by Don Hamilton
Another book that I have not read, but have heard much about. I ordered this one as well, and will update once I have read it!

Magazines

Animal Fair
A Lifestyle Magazine for Animal Lovers
Animal Wellness Magazine
A magazine about a healthy lifestyle for your pets
Cats & Kittens
The title is pretty self-explanatory. It's not a "breed" based magazine, which is always good.

Websites

Feline Diabetes
INCREDIBLY helpful with my diabetic kitty! I learned more from the people on this site than I learned from two vets, and tons of books. They have a message board with incredibly supportive people who know all there is to know about diabetes, home testing, and a host of related conditions.
The Mows!
A comic strip chronicling the daily lives of three cats - Indy, Nonie and Tigey - and how they interact with each other, "The Guy", and "Mommy". So cute!
Lentilki
The webmaster for this site in the Czech Republic somehow came upon our little site, and added a link. Read the "cats blog too, and better" section - very cute! Sounds like some of my cats.
