Here are just a few of the great animal and cat related organization sites that we have found and used. We are always adding more, and looking for suggestions!
- ASPCA
- American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Go here for answers to many of your pet questions, information on animal advocacy, and much more. Excellent New York resources, and even has a link for Animal Precinct, one of our favorite shows
- Alley Cat Allies
- National Feral Cat resource. Tells about the feral cat problem in America, and gives tons of suggestions and tips to help control the feral cat population.
- CompanionAir
- An airline dedicated to providing high quality, specialized transportation to pet lovers who view their pets as family members rather than simply animals.
- Mayor's Alliance For NYC's Animals
- The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals is an organization that is working with the City of New York to develop creative solutions to deal with issues of animal care and control in New York City. They are bringing together all not-for-profit animal care groups, small and large, that are already working effectively to place and/or spay and neuter New York City's dogs and cats.

- Dedicated to New Jersey's Homeless Pets

- Lists tons of information for people who like to travel with their pets! Pet-friendly hotels, campgrounds, beaches, etc.
- Peoplewithpets.com
- Great resource if you are looking for a new residence. Has a searchable database of pet-friendly apartment rentals. Also has other related information.
- Petfinder
- An amazing resource for finding animals who need homes! National website with lists of shelters and rescue groups. You can post and answer ads for animals, or just browse the lists! Also has excellent educational articles and links.
- Rational Animal
- Uses the power of media to promote the welfare of New York City's at-risk animals. They have many great campaigns and fund raisers. They also started the Animal Guardian Ribbon!
- Veggiegirl
- A vegetarian-focused site, with other animal welfare interest links
